Sam Kekovich was a North Melbourne premiership player who moved to Collingwood
towards the end of his VFL playing career. Flamboyant on and off the field he is now a
very popular media personality and public speaker; and has been known to enjoy a
good lunch.

He started his football career in the Ovens & Murray Football League in Myrtleford. He
went to the Kangaroos in 1968, premiership player in 1975, Kangaroo’s Best and
Fairest 1969 and leading goalkicker in ’69, ’71 & ’72.

In the media he is famous for his ‘rants’ that he always signed off with “You know it
makes sense, I’m Sam Kekovich”. Famous since 2005 for his Lamb marketing for Meat
& Livestock Australia, which included the controversial and popular Australia Day
advertisements. Sam is a very popular, and highly sought after Public Speaker.
